Material available on the site: Prelinger Archives tries to collect, preserve, and facilitate access to films of historic significance that haven’t been collected elsewhere. It holds and makes publicly available some 11,000 digitized films, including films produced by and for important US corporations, nonprofit organizations, trade associations, community and interest groups, and educational institutions. Prelinger’s principal focus, however, is preserving and making publicly available home movies and amateur films.
